FAITHFUL FEW

The Faithful Few is a nonprofit 501C3 organization designed to empower high-risk, low-income youth who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences, also known as ACEs.

All ACEs are public mental health issues. Examples include community violence exposure (CVE), domestic violence, and substance abuse in the household.  We are deeply concerned about their effect on our youth. Acute Community Violence Exposure in particular can lead to changes in behavior and neural processing that increase the risk of engaging in delinquency, violence, and experiencing other negative outcomes. There is evidence that guided activities in small, closely-knit cohort settings can reduce the negative effects of Community Violence Exposure. Faithful Few’s programs are designed to operate in small cohorts to harness and redirect youthful energy toward productive living free of violence.

We are particularly focused on young girls and their families. Our holistic approach connects them to experiences that address Mind – Education, Body – Healthy Living, and Spirit – Enrichment. Faithful Few formulates partnerships with the key stakeholders in the wellness and success of our youth: families, schools, and sponsors throughout the community.

Our initiatives seek to build a strong supportive community one child at a time and one family at a time through connecting programs, services, and activities.
